Two colonial chests decorated with mother-of-pearl, bone, tortoiseshell and wood marquetry decorated in reserves with stylized flowers and geometric patterns. It opens with a flap forming a tray with gilded metal hinges and drawer .

Interior with box on the right, decorated with an exotic wood veneer forming diamonds, and reverse of the top decorated with a mirror and a geometric marquetry of exotic woods and bone.

South America, probably Mexico or Peru, 18th century .

Condition: some losses, raised marquetry, wearing dues to age .
